TERMS OF SERVICE

Effective Date: September 6, 2026 • Version 1.0 • Governs access to Seekr Daily web services and game features.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or playing Seekr Daily (“the Game,” “Website,” or “Service”) at https://seekrdaily.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Website.

2. Nominative Fair Use & Trademark Disclaimer

Seekr Daily is an interactive website guessing and word deduction game celebrating websites across the World Wide Web—from viral phenomenons, digital landmarks, and product launches to local businesses, web tools, and internet culture.

Daily challenges feature domain names, webpage screenshots, brand names, and digital clues from websites across the internet (ranging from iconic digital staples and product launches to vintage gems, digital tools, and local enterprises). All third-party trademarks, registered marks, trade dress, product names, and company logos referenced in daily challenges are the exclusive property of their respective owners.

Nominative Fair Use Statement:

The reference to third-party domain names, brand names, and webpage imagery on Seekr Daily is strictly limited to nominative fair use under 15 U.S.C. § 1125(c)(3) and relevant international copyright principles for the sole purpose of identification, commentary, trivia, and educational gameplay. Seekr Daily is an independent project and is NOT affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or associated with any featured website, business, corporate entity, or trademark holder.

3. Gameplay Mechanics & Fair Play

Seekr Daily grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and play the Game in accordance with the following rules:

  • One Daily Challenge: A single daily mission is released every 24 hours at midnight. Past missions may be replayed via the Archives feature.
  • Strikes & Hints: Players are permitted up to 6 wrong letter strikes. Mascot clues (Byte) and vintage snapshot sharpening occur progressively.
  • No Botting or Scraping: You agree not to use automated scripts, bots, spiders, crawlers, or cheat extensions to solve missions or manipulate global leaderboard entries.
  • No Reverse-Engineering of Solutions: You agree not to publish, broadcast, or publicly distribute unredacted daily solutions or exploit client-side bundles to spoil the daily puzzle for the global community.

4. Seekr Club Accounts & Cloud Synchronization

Playing Seekr Daily as a guest requires no credentials. If you voluntarily join the Seekr Club using Google Sign-In:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication credentials.
  • You agree not to choose offensive, defamatory, or infringing player nicknames.
  • You may permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time via the Seekr Club profile interface.

5. Intellectual Property of Seekr Daily

Excluding third-party nominative trademarks referenced in historical clues, all proprietary elements of the Website—including the Seekr Daily trademark, original code, UI components, sound effects, animations, the mascot character Byte, and graphic layouts—are the copyrighted property of the Seekr Daily team and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

“AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SEEKR DAILY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL SEEKR DAILY, ITS FOUNDERS, OR OPERATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

7. Governing Law & Modifications

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Website following updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
